Plenary Assembly DIZH on 10 May 2022

Two years after the operational start, the first plenary meeting of the DIZH took place on 10 May 2022 at the Museum für Gestaltung. The aim was to promote dialogue and networking among DIZH members. People already associated with DIZH were able to learn more about the activities and get to know the people behind the functions.

A joint visit to the Planet Digital exhibition gave the participants the opportunity to discuss the exhibits with researchers and the two curators. From rare earths to gigantic server landscapes and technical gadgets to social issues. Planet Digital is an example of how questions of digitalisation can be dealt with and communicated. The exhibition by the University of Zurich and the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich was realised together with the Zurich University of the Arts and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and financially supported within the framework of the first DIZH project call.

Susanne Schumacher, Chairperson of the Management Board DIZH, welcomed the approximately 70 guests and informed them about current developments and the status of the three areas of research clusters, innovation programme and education promotion programme.

Susanne Schumacher spoke with Lesley Spiegel (Managing Director DIZH), Christoph Weckerle (Chairman Innovation Panel DIZH) and Silja Rüedi (Chair Coordination Committee Education Promotion) about the cooperation of the universities, location promotion Zurich and digitality.

The official part was concluded with an aperitif outside. Drinks could be ordered there at the robot bar.

Many thanks to all participants and guests!

Special thanks to the Museum für Gestaltung, the researchers and curators involved in the exhibition, Julian Keuzenkamp for ÜM – the rolling robot from ZHAW digital and the Übermorn association.

The next plenary assembly will take place in 2023. In addition to DIZH members, the plenary assembly is open to all DIZH university members who are interested in DIZH. Feel free to write us an email and register your interest so that we can invite you next year.
