The avatar technology developed in the project “Transformation of the Textile Industry from Push to Pull Production through Digitization” enables precisely fitting virtual try-ons, reduces returns and minimizes transport costs. By integrating a module on websites, customers can select items of clothing and try them on virtually. The project team wants to raise awareness for sustainable consumption and better communicate the impact of returns. The goal is to explore the implementation of virtual try-on and evaluate its positive impact on the sustainability of the textile industry.
